Are you judging me? // Você está me julgando?

“ Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure, you use it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. 6 “Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give hi...

I walk through the Valley // Eu ando pelo Vale

Psalms 23:1 -4   A Psalm of David. 1     The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2      He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3      He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness     for his name's sake.   4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,     I will fear no evil, for you are with me;     your rod and your staff,     they comfort me.   This is my favorite Psalm. Why? I’ll tell you why. Because since I was a child this Psalms always talked to me. Even when I didn’t understand much. Recently I read a book, a small one, that talks about this Psalms, and it gave me better insight and understanding. Now I love it even more. So, I am going to share with you what this book is about. But just a small part.   If w...

U-oh, the feminists won't like this // U-oh, as feministas não vão gostar disso.

I’ve been thinking about this subject and not quite sure how to put it. First, I was worried about people getting mad at me, or even disappointed, then I wasn’t finding the words.   But as I said, it’s been a couple of weeks now and I think it is time to write something. Finally, I got the conclusion that if I don’t start writing I might never get this out of my mind. If I wanted to make an essay about the theme it might be too large and people would be bored. So, I decided to make it a list. Perhaps I come back to this list and make a text of some of its points. This was the brainstorm that I made.   1.   Who has raised the men of the last 3 or 4 generations? 2.   It is important that women work outside their homes. But at what price? 3. Respect, kindness, and love don’t come naturally. Who is teaching them to the children? (back to question 1) 4.  W hy are so many women afraid of getting married these days? (back to the first qu...
