After death // Depois da morte

What are you afraid of? Death? Bankruptcy? Starvation? Darkness? Embarrassment? Shame? Loneliness? The death of a loved one? There are so many things that we can be afraid of. Fear of the unknown, right? Everybody fears what we don’t know. We resist. Sometimes, we even resist the things we do know too.  What do you do when you are afraid? Who do you call? Mom? Dad? The police?  But there are things that we are afraid of, and apparently, there is no one that can help us, isn’t there? I know one thing that everybody is afraid of, I mean, almost everybody. Because I am not afraid of it. I see it as a door to be in a better place with Jesus, of course. Who else were you waiting for me to say? Let’s say you resist this fact. And you are afraid of death. Let’s rationalize a little bit here. Have you thought about why you are afraid of death? Is it because you don’t know what is on the other side? Is it because you haven’t done everything you wanted? Or because you aren’t ready? What exactly is to be ready in this circumstance?   Well, I am ready to go! How? Because I know what is on the other side and who is there waiting for me. That is why. Call me crazy, naïve, or whatever; I don’t care. Have you ever been very close to dying? Or have a loved one very close to dying, and you were desperate to do something to help, and there was nothing in your mind at first because you have faith that there is no God, and when you think twice, what would you say? I have nothing to lose anymore, so you pray to God. Like this: “If there is a God out there who can hear me, I have never prayed in my life. But please help me.” Isn’t is true? So, that is why I don’t believe in atheism. It is a lie. When the hour comes, you will want God to exist and save you from whatever bad place there is after death. When God made us, He left his signature on us. Like every artist, they sign their art. God signed us. That is why we all look for a god. Since ever. God is always there. We are the one who runs away from him. Have you thought about if there is heaven, there is also hell? One cannot be without the other. This concept of heaven and hell comes from the Bible. People wish that there is no hell, and everybody is going to heaven. Sorry to disappoint. Not everybody goes to heaven, there are a lot of people going to hell. And all of them are going by choice. Remember free will? Exactly.  When death is at the door, what do you think? “I am going to cease to exist, and I am at peace.” Really? Or the thought goes like this: “Oh… who offers a better place to go after death? Would I like to come back to earth and have a do-over? Or Heaven, where I will find peace. Am I going there? If there is a heaven, and I am not going there because I rejected Jesus and all his teachings, and mocked Christians, and made their life a hell? Ops… So, I have an idea of what the hell would look like. Not a good place, for sure. Immediately, your mind takes you to God. You want desperately not to go to hell. So, you repent on your deathbed. Are you going to wait till the last minute? What if you don’t have the time to reflect on that?  That is why I am ready all the time. How? I have a relationship with Jesus. Crazy, huh? I know, but only if you believe you can feel it, too. Some might say it is all a creation of my mind. One-third of the earth have the same imagination, believe in the same book, and live at peace here to die in peace later. Really? Christmas is a good time to start thinking about the future. Also, it is a good time to think about Christmas besides the gifts, charities, and dinners - and think about Jesus. Go to any church, to a priest, to a pastor, to whatever title the person holds. Just go there and have your questions ready. Questions, not accusations. Go with an open mind. Go trying to understand, at least. Everything Christians do is based on reason. Everything has a meaning. The more you read the bible, the more you get to know God, and of course, you will have more questions; just keep doing it, keep reading, and keep going until you are satisfied.  Or are you afraid of reading a book, too? I dare you to read it.

Do que você tem medo? Morte? Falência? Inanição? Escuridão? Humilhação? Vergonha? Solidão? A morte de um ente querido? Há tantas coisas das quais podemos ter medo. Medo do desconhecido, certo? Todo mundo teme o que não sabemos. Nós resistimos. Às vezes, até resistimos às coisas que sabemos também. O que você faz quando está com medo? Para quem você liga? Mãe? Pai? A polícia? Mas há coisas que temos medo e, aparentemente, não há ninguém que possa nos ajudar, não é mesmo? Eu sei de uma coisa que todo mundo tem medo, quero dizer, quase todo mundo. Porque não tenho medo disso. Vejo isso como uma porta para estar em um lugar melhor com Jesus, é claro. Quem mais você estava esperando que eu dissesse? Digamos que você resista a esse fato. E você tem medo da morte. Vamos racionalizar um pouco aqui. Você já pensou por que tem medo da morte? É porque você não sabe o que está do outro lado? É porque você não fez tudo o que queria? Ou porque você não está pronto? O que exatamente é estar pronto nesta circunstância? Bem, estou pronto para ir! Como? Porque eu sei o que está do outro lado e quem está me esperando. Por isso. Chame-me de louca, ingênua ou o que quer que seja; Eu não ligo. Você já esteve muito perto de morrer? Ou tem um ente querido muito perto da morte e você estava desesperado para fazer algo para ajudar, e no início não havia nada em sua mente porque você tem fé que Deus não existe, e quando você pensa duas vezes, o que você diria? Não tenho mais nada a perder, então você ora a Deus. Assim: “Se existe um Deus que pode me ouvir, eu nunca orei em minha vida. Mas por favor me ajude.” Não é verdade? Então é por isso que não acredito no ateísmo. É uma mentira. Quando chegar a hora, você desejará que Deus exista e o salve de qualquer lugar ruim que exista após a morte. Quando Deus nos criou, Ele deixou sua assinatura em nós. Como todo artista, eles assinam sua arte. Deus nos assinou. É por isso que todos nós procuramos por um deus. Desde sempre. Deus está sempre lá. Somos nós que fugimos dele. Você já pensou se existe o céu, também existe o inferno? Um não pode existir sem o outro. Este conceito de céu e inferno vem da Bíblia. As pessoas desejam que não exista inferno e que todos vão para o céu. Desculpe decepcionar. Nem todo mundo vai para o céu, tem muita gente que vai para o inferno. E todos eles estão indo por escolha. Lembra do livre arbítrio? Exatamente. Quando a morte está à porta, o que você pensa? “Vou deixar de existir e estou em paz.” Serio? Ou o pensamento é assim: “Ah… quem oferece um lugar melhor para ir depois da morte? Eu gostaria de voltar à Terra e fazer tudo de novo? Ou o Céu, onde encontrarei paz. Eu vou para lá? Se existe um céu, e eu não vou para lá porque rejeitei Jesus e todos os seus ensinamentos, e zombei dos cristãos, e fiz da vida deles um inferno?” “Ops… Então, tenho uma ideia de como seria o inferno. Não é um bom lugar, com certeza. Imediatamente, sua mente o leva a Deus”. Você quer desesperadamente não ir para o inferno. Então, você se arrepende em seu leito de morte. Você vai esperar até o último minuto? E se você não tiver tempo para refletir sobre isso? É por isso que estou pronta o tempo todo. Como? Eu tenho um relacionamento com Jesus. Louco, né? Eu sei, mas só se você acreditar que também pode sentir isso. Alguns podem dizer que é tudo uma criação da minha mente. Um terço da Terra tem a mesma imaginação, acredita no mesmo livro e vive em paz aqui para morrer em paz mais tarde. Serio? O Natal é um bom momento para começar a pensar no futuro. Além disso, é um bom momento para pensar no Natal além dos presentes, instituições de caridade e jantares -  e pensar em Jesus. Vá a qualquer igreja, a um padre, a um pastor, a qualquer título que a pessoa possua. Basta ir lá e ter suas perguntas prontas. Perguntas, não acusações. Vá com a mente aberta. Vá tentando entender, pelo menos. Tudo o que os cristãos fazem é baseado na razão. Tudo tem um significado. Quanto mais você lê a Bíblia, mais você conhece a Deus e, claro, terá mais dúvidas; apenas continue fazendo isso, continue lendo e continue indo até ficar satisfeito.
