What Christianity is all about? // Do que se trata cristianismo?

 Hebreus 9:22/ Levitico 17:11

Precious love of Jesus.

We are never tired of talking about it. You may not understand why. But I’m going to try my best.

Tell me what the difference is between all other religions. You might have questioned it once in your life…

All the prophets and philosophers and whoever title the person held. Who is still alive? All of them have died. They might have written something you think is interesting or worthy of following.

Who among them claims to have died for you? What religion among all suggests that your life will not be easy or that you will be persecuted? Which one of them says that you must love your neighbor as you love yourself up to be willing to die for him, too, because that is what we should expect from another person?

Anyway…

In Christianity, our Lord says that the love for us (mere, feeble, violent, fragile human beings) is worthy to leave His kingdom behind, become one of us, and teach us the best way to live and please God, plus guarantee eternal life.

The enemy of our souls, the one who wants to snatch our souls from God, has as a powerful weapon something that most people fear the most: death. How can you win over that? How can God win us back from that?

So, what happened? God became human, so the devil thought it would be easy to “kill” God because He was fragile now. But the power of God is much bigger than the devil’s power. The devil had his minions and convinced them that the only way was to kill Jesus. After all, Jesus was disturbing the peace, making too much fuss, and making people follow Him. So they planned and succeeded. Those weak human minds fell right into the devil’s plan, which originally was God’s plan all along. Nothing is out of control. God has everything under His control; you might not believe in it.

The disciples were dismayed when Jesus was killed. They thought He was the Christ (they were right, but in shock, they thought it would be different). But they had forgotten what Jesus had said several times: “on the third day, I’ll rise again”.

Jesus died on that cross, symbolizing the lamb of the sacrifice that the Jews used to offer God for their sins. Jesus died for our sins. His blood had to be shed. Because without blood, there is no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:22). And He rose from the dead. This means that the powerful weapon of the devil was proved weak before God’s power. Jesus conquered death.

He said: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

This is what Christianity is all about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our God lives. He sent His Holy Spirit to live with us, in us. He said he would never forsake us, and this is how he fulfills that promise.

So, our God left behind his kingdom, became human, and loved us so much that he couldn’t allow us to go straight to hell without any opportunity for salvation. The only way for that was to go down and ascend to heaven. He bore our sins, and that is why He went down to hell. He took with Him the sins of the whole world.

The hardest part for you is to believe. Once you believe in your heart, you will do whatever it takes to have eternal life with Him, who died for you. Otherwise, your eternal life will be eternal death, very far from God. He said that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but will have eternal life (John 3:16). Whoever.

If Jesus Christ had not been resurrected, Christianity would have been no different from the other religions.

If you say you are afraid of persecution and are not able to renounce your way of living to live like Jesus, well, you know that you are not following Him to heaven.

Our martyrs don’t die thinking about the virgins or reincarnating into something else. But they die because their love for Jesus Christ is worthy of dying. In heaven, they (we who believe) will have peace, joy, and Jesus. That is worth dying for. This is our biggest reward. This hope.

Precioso amor de Jesus.

Nunca nos cansamos de falar sobre isso. Você pode não entender o porquê. Mas vou tentar o meu melhor.

Diga-me qual é a diferença entre todas as outras religiões.

Jesus venceu a morte.

Ele disse: “Eu sou a ressurreição e a vida.

Ele levou nossos pecados.

Come and See + Judge correctly // Venha e Veja + Julgue corretamente

Venha e Veja   Two verses stood out for me this morning. John 7:17-18 and 7:24.   “ Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.   18  Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.” John 7:24 “ Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”   That was Jesus talking.  I lately heard that some people with vast knowledge of the Bible (we all want to believe) are being led astray through the vain doctrines of this world. Meaning, that some church leaders or people have earned the people's trust by telling them lies about the teachings of the Bible. People seek their own popularity by agreeing with the lies the world has offered them.  I have seen churches with flags and teaching doctrines that the Bible condemns. They have twisted the Word of God to be more acceptable and palatab

Are you lost? // Você está perdido?

Você está perdido? There is always this time in life when we are certain about what to do with our lives. We have a goal, and an objective to reach. However, it is often that life turns the other way around and our plans are made nothing. Frequently I hear people say, “I am lost, I don’t know what to do!” That happens when we put our goals into something that changes. Everything in this world change. You and I are changing by the minute. My thoughts right now are running like crazy, and if I don’t set a goal in something that doesn’t change, I can’t do anything. What is it?   Jesus. The word of God. You might think I am crazy, and lunatic or even a fanatic. But who really knows me, know that I am none of those things. I am a very sensible person who has lived and experienced many things. And I don’t lie. So, if you are experiencing a sense of loss and despair, how about putting your hope in the One who cannot change whatsoever. If you lost you

Pointing finger // Apontar o dedo

Recently I was studying the Sermon on the mount in a bible study at the church. It was wonderful to meditate and go deep in these Jesus’ words. So many details we sometimes don’t realize. We are very quick to see the flaws and failures of others. But interestingly the things we see faster in others are probably the things we don’t see or won’t see in ourselves. It is easy to point a finger when someone is, for example, throwing trash on the streets, when one doesn’t even bother to do the same at home. In Brazil, we have this saying “blacksmith’s house, woodpecker.” Who are you to point a finger to anyone when you yourself cannot do better? Your sin is no smaller than his. Jesus said, “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? ( Matthew 7 :3). Look, sawdust is something small, and plank or log is something much bigger than sawdust. Sometimes we are able to see something very insignificant in othe
