If God is with us, who can stand against Him? // Se Deus é por nós, quem pode ser contra a Ele?

Have you thanked the Lord today for living in a place where the turmoil of war doesn’t get near your house?   I was brushing my teeth, and I noticed the silence around me. It is a blessing. I am no better than anyone. But I have to be grateful that my troubles don’t involve guns or death on a daily basis.    The world is getting hot with wars. We see that there are more to come.  Every war has casualties. And we pray for the weak, the orphans, the widows, and every victim of the war. We pray for the authorities; may God grant them wisdom and strength to guide his people and army.    I have read Psalm 83, a prayer to God for Israel. It talks about those who have planned evil and seek the destruction of Israel. I pray verses 11 – 18.   11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,     all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, 12 who said, “Let us take possession     of the pasturelands of God.” 13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God,     like chaff before the wind. 14 As fire consumes the forest     or a flame sets the mountains ablaze, 15 so pursue them with your tempest     and terrify them with your storm. 16 Cover their faces with shame, Lord,     so that they will seek your name. 17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed;     may they perish in disgrace. 18 Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord—     that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.   And then Psalm 125. 1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,     which cannot be shaken but endures forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,     so the Lord surrounds his people     both now and forevermore. 3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain     over the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous might use     their hands to do evil. 4 Lord, do good to those who are good,     to those who are upright in heart. 5 But those who turn to crooked ways     the Lord will banish with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.   God warned Israel long ago that if they had destroyed those peoples who inhabited the land before they settled down as He had commanded them, they wouldn’t be a problem in the future. Israel didn’t do the job completely, so they have had problems since then.  That is the thing about obedience. You trust; therefore, you obey. Trust in God because we do not always understand why God says what He says.  They (Israel) thought they could live peacefully alongside them. They were wrong. Therefore, when God says something, we must believe in Him. God is faithful. Everything God has said to Israel since the beginning has happened. God doesn’t fail. He promised good things if they obeyed; if they didn’t obey, natural consequences would come. It is not always a punishment when bad things happen to us. It might totally be a natural consequence of our own acts and decisions. It is a pity that the “innocent” is perishing in this war. But those men have been indoctrinated to do what they are doing. They have come a long way, learning just that since their childhood. What were their parents doing while they were learning that? I don’t know. Their religion teaches it. It is hate what they learn.    People who choose violence for life have violence for death, too.  Whatever you sow, this is what you will reap.  If you sow hate, hate is what you get in bigger proportion. You plant a seed, and you get a tree. A seed of hate generates a tree of it.   Watch the side you stand for.  This war is not political. It is religious. Their goal is Islam. Islam teaches hate.  Again, learn what Islam means to your lifestyle. Supporting Palestine means supporting Islam, and that has nothing to do with the Western kind of life. Their Islam is nothing like what you see around here in the U.S.  Take care. "Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress" (Psalm 107:6)

Você já agradeceu ao Senhor hoje por viver em um lugar onde o tumulto da guerra não chega perto da sua casa?   Eu estava escovando os dentes e percebi o silêncio ao meu redor. É uma bênção. Não sou melhor que ninguém. Mas tenho que ser grato porque meus problemas não envolvem armas ou morte diariamente.   O mundo está esquentando com as guerras. Vemos que há mais por vir. Toda guerra tem baixas. E oramos pelos fracos, pelos órfãos, pelas viúvas e por todas as vítimas da guerra. Oramos pelas autoridades; que Deus lhes conceda sabedoria e força para guiar seu povo e exército.   Li o Salmo 83, uma oração a Deus por Israel. Fala sobre aqueles que planejaram o mal e buscam a destruição de Israel. Eu oro os versículos 11-18.   11 Faça com que seus nobres sejam como Orebe e Zeebe,      todos os seus príncipes como Zeba e Zalmunna, 12 que disse: “Tomemos posse      das pastagens de Deus.” 13 Faça-os como ervas daninhas, meu Deus,      como palha diante do vento. 14 Assim como o fogo consome a floresta      ou uma chama incendeia as montanhas, 15 então persiga-os com sua tempestade      e aterrorize-os com sua tempestade. 16 Cubra o rosto deles de vergonha, Senhor,      para que busquem o seu nome. 17 Fiquem sempre envergonhados e consternados;      que eles pereçam em desgraça. 18 Deixe-os saber que você, cujo nome é o Senhor,      que só você é o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.   E então o Salmo 125. 1 Aqueles que confiam no Senhor são como o monte Sião,      que não pode ser abalado, mas dura para sempre. 2 Assim como as montanhas cercam Jerusalém,      então o Senhor cerca o seu povo      agora e para sempre. 3 O cetro dos ímpios não permanecerá      sobre a terra destinada aos justos, para que os justos não usem      suas mãos para fazer o mal. 4 Senhor, faze bem aos que são bons,      para aqueles que são retos de coração. 5 Mas aqueles que seguem caminhos tortuosos      o Senhor banirá com os malfeitores. A paz esteja com Israel.   Deus avisou Israel há muito tempo que se eles tivessem destruído os povos que habitavam a terra antes de se estabelecerem como Ele lhes havia ordenado, eles não seriam um problema no futuro. Israel não fez o trabalho completamente, por isso tem tido problemas desde então. Essa é a questão da obediência. Você confia; portanto, você obedece. Confie em Deus porque nem sempre entendemos por que Deus diz o que diz.  Eles (Israel) pensaram que poderiam viver pacificamente ao lado deles. Eles estavam errados. Portanto, quando Deus diz algo, devemos acreditar Nele. Deus é fiel. Tudo o que Deus disse a Israel desde o princípio aconteceu. Deus não falha. Ele prometeu coisas boas se eles obedecessem; se não obedecessem, viriam consequências naturais. Nem sempre é um castigo quando coisas ruins acontecem conosco. Pode ser totalmente uma consequência natural dos nossos próprios atos e decisões. É uma pena que os “inocentes” estejam a perecer nesta guerra. Mas esses homens foram doutrinados para fazer o que estão fazendo. Eles percorreram um longo caminho, aprendendo exatamente isso desde a infância. O que seus pais estavam fazendo enquanto aprendiam isso? Não sei. A religião deles ensina isso. É ódio o que eles aprendem.   Pessoas que escolhem a violência para a vida também sofrem violência para a morte. Tudo o que você semear, isso é o que você colherá. Se você semeia ódio, ódio é o que você obtém em maior proporção. Você planta uma semente e obtém uma árvore. Uma semente de ódio gera uma árvore dele.   Observe o lado que você representa. Esta guerra não é política. É religiosa. O objetivo deles é o Islã. O Islã ensina o ódio. Mais uma vez, aprenda o que o Islã significa para o seu estilo de vida. Apoiar a Palestina significa apoiar o Islã, e isso não tem nada a ver com o tipo de vida ocidental. O Islã deles não é nada parecido com o que você vê por aqui nos EUA. Se cuida. "Na sua aflição, clamaram ao Senhor, e ele os livrou da tribulação     em que se encontravam" (Salmos 107:6)
