is that a joke? // É uma piada?

Everything is a joke. Nothing is real. Nothing means anything… of course, God is real. Even those who choose to say he does not exist know deep down that they’re fooling themselves”  Temptation: A Novel (Solitary tales series book 3). This quote is from a series of book that I’ve been reading. I picked it up this part because I know so many people who think just like that. A joke. Tiny little boxes that once a year they put on some clothes and celebrate Christmas, not even knowing the real meaning; or the Easter, they go to stores and buy chocolates and that is it. What chocolate has to do with Easter anyway? 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. (Revelation 3: 15 – 16). These are indifferent. Choose your side. Don’t pretend that just because of you celebrate the holidays or go to Sunday school that makes you a good person. It takes much more than that. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me (Matthew 16:24). It is so much more than going to church or just celebrating the holidays. I think you know that. Other people think that just because it doesn’t make sense in their heads (tiny little heads) it isn’t true. They think if, they can’t make God fit in their narrow minds, so it is not possible at all. Like God had the obligation to make sense, or just fit in their own moral standards. Sorry pal, it doesn’t work that way. “But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “why have you made me like this? Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and other for dishonorable?” Romans 9:20 – 22. We aren't here to make God serve us. We are here to acknowledge His majesty. With a word He created everything, with a word He can destroy everything. So, wrap up your mind and recognize that you are clay. God is too big to fit in your brain, in your limited thoughts. Think about it, the whole universe had to have some igniter to start. What was that? God has no beginning and no end. He is what He is. He is above time, space, and your moral standards. God doesn’t fit, simply because He is too enormous for that. Whether you accept it or not. For God, it doesn’t really matter, it won’t change Him. But for you… it will make the whole difference.

Tudo é uma piada. Nada é real. Nada significa nada ... claro, Deus é real. Mesmo aqueles que escolhem dizer que ele não existe, sabem no fundo que estão se enganando”. Tentação: Um romance (livro 3 da série de contos solitários). Esta citação é de uma série de livros que tenho lido. Eu peguei essa parte porque eu conheço tantas pessoas que pensam assim. Uma piada. Caixinhas minúsculas que uma vez por ano vestem roupas e celebram o Natal, sem sequer saber o real significado; ou a Páscoa, eles vão às lojas e compram chocolates e é isso. Que chocolate tem a ver com a Páscoa? 15 Conheço as tuas obras, que nem és frio nem quente. Eu queria que você fosse um ou outro! 16 Assim, porque és morno, nem quente nem frio, estou prestes a vomitar-te da minha boca. (Apocalipse 3: 15 - 16). Estes são indiferentes. Escolha seu lado. Não finja que só porque você celebra os feriados ou vai para a escola dominical que faz de você uma boa pessoa. É muito mais que isso. Então Jesus disse aos seus discípulos: “Quem quiser ser meu discípulo deve negar a si mesmo, tomar sua cruz e seguir-me (Mateus 16:24). É muito mais do que ir à igreja ou apenas celebrar as festas. Eu acho que você sabe isso. Outras pessoas pensam que só porque não faz sentido em suas cabeças (cabeças pequenas) isso não é verdade. Eles acham que, se não podem fazer Deus se encaixar em suas mentes estreitas, então não é possível de forma alguma. Como se Deus tivesse a obrigação de fazer sentido, ou simplesmente se encaixar em seus próprios padrões morais. Desculpe amigo, não funciona assim. “Mas quem és tu, ó homem, para responder a Deus? Será que o que é moldado diz ao seu moldador: “por que você me fez assim? O oleiro não tem direito sobre o barro, para fazer da mesma massa um vaso para uso honroso e outro para desonroso? ”Romanos 9:20 - 22. Nós não estamos aqui para fazer Deus nos servir. Estamos aqui para reconhecer Sua majestade. Com uma palavra Ele criou tudo, com uma palavra Ele pode destruir tudo. Então, faça sua cabeça e reconheça que você é barro. Deus é grande demais para caber em seu cérebro, em seus pensamentos limitados. Pense nisso, todo o universo tinha que ter algum iniciador para começar. O que é que foi isso? Deus não tem começo nem fim. Ele é o que é. Ele está acima do tempo, espaço e seus padrões morais. Deus não se encaixa, simplesmente porque Ele é enorme demais para isso. Quer você aceite ou não. Para Deus, isso realmente não importa, não vai mudá-lo. Mas para você… fará toda a diferença.
