Being part of the winning team // Ser parte do time vencedor

We all want to be part of the winning team, right? But how can we be part of the winning team? We have to have something to offer in exchange, something that keeps them winning. Isn’t that the way when we watch some superhero movie? Those with some good and valuable skill get to be part of the team. Pick your side! Wait a minute, what if I don’t know what skill I own so I can offer it in exchange for being part of the winning team? Is that possible not having a skill? Well, I don’t think so. What is possible is that you have no clue about what is or are your skills. You haven’t been challenged enough yet to figure it out. We are all special. We all have something valuable. Sometimes what happens is we give too much attention to what people want or expect of us than what we can offer them, and then we disappoint them. And it comes the devil making us believe that we are useless and blinding us from our real power. In 1 Chronicles 11 and 12, we find mighty warriors and valiant men with so many skills, and courage, able of doing so many impressive things, because all they wanted so bad to be on the winning team, David’s team. David accepted them and placed them as commanders and bodyguards and all sort of positions. People came from different parts with different skills to serve in David’s team. Because David himself was a great warrior, a great leader and everybody loved to be around him. What team do you want to be part of? I want to be part of the winning team, God’s team. Do I have skills? Yes, I believe so. Do I know them all? I do not. Did God accept me anyway? Yes, He did, because He knows me better than myself.  What happens now? I’ll be challenged a lot to figure out my skills so I can serve Him properly, with all my heart, my body, and my joy. We need to find out our skill and run to our “David” who is Jesus and offer our services. If you already know what you can do, Congratulations! Don’t be shy, run to his presence and offer them all and He will make you shine. You can do so much more than you know already. If you don’t know, Go running and ask Him what are your skills? Tell Him that you want to be part of His team. In no time, you’ll see many opportunities show up and take them; do your best, be courageous. You’ll never know what you can do if you don’t try. When James (4:2 - 8) said (2)."You do not have, because you do not ask. (3) You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions". If you want to be part of the winning team, remember it is a team, you don't get to be the star in it. You will ask Jesus (the team's Leader) what are your skill and what you can do for him, but who receive all the glory is the Leader. We receive all reward, but the glory goes to Jesus. So ask Him knowing that you won't be a star. "But he gives more grace" (v.6a) More than what you asked and deserves if only your heart is in the right place. "Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil (you can read as pride, as low self-esteem, etc) and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. (6b - 8a). And to finish, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” Matthew 6:33.

Todos nós queremos fazer parte da equipe vencedora, certo? Mas como podemos fazer parte da equipe vencedora? Temos que ter algo para oferecer em troca, algo que os mantém vencedores. Não é assim quando assistimos a um filme de super-heróis? Aqueles com alguma habilidade boa e valiosa podem fazer parte da equipe. Escolha o seu lado! Espere um minuto, e se eu não souber qual habilidade eu possuo para poder oferecê-la em troca de fazer parte da equipe vencedora? É possível não ter uma habilidade? Bem, eu não penso assim. O que é possível é que você não tem ideia sobre qual é ou quais são suas habilidades. Você ainda não foi desafiado o suficiente para descobrir isso. Somos todos especiais. Todos nós temos algo valioso. Às vezes, o que acontece é que damos muita atenção ao que as pessoas querem ou esperam de nós do que podemos oferecer a elas, e então as desapontamos. E vem o diabo nos fazendo acreditar que somos inúteis e nos cegando de nosso poder real. Em 1 Crônicas 11 e 12, encontramos poderosos guerreiros e homens valentes com tantas habilidades e coragem, capazes de fazer tantas coisas impressionantes, porque tudo o que eles queriam tanto era estar na equipe vencedora, a equipe de David. David os aceitou e os colocou como comandantes e guarda-costas e todo tipo de posições. As pessoas vieram de diferentes partes com habilidades diferentes para servir na equipe de David. Porque o próprio David era um grande guerreiro, um grande líder e todos gostavam de estar perto dele. De que time você quer fazer parte? Eu quero fazer parte da equipe vencedora, a equipe de Deus. Eu tenho habilidades? Sim, acredito que sim. Eu conheço todos eles? Eu não. Deus me aceitou mesmo assim? Sim, ele me aceitou, porque ele me conhece melhor do que eu mesma. O que acontece agora? Eu vou ser desafiado muito para descobrir minhas habilidades para que eu possa servi-lo adequadamente, com todo o meu coração, meu corpo e minha alegria. Precisamos descobrir nossa habilidade e correr para o nosso "David", que é Jesus e oferecer nossos serviços. Se você já sabe o que pode fazer, parabéns! Não seja tímido, corra para a presença dele e ofereça tudo e Ele fará você brilhar. Você pode fazer muito mais do que já sabe. Se você não sabe, corra e pergunte a ele quais são suas habilidades. Diga a ele que você quer fazer parte da equipe dele. Quando você menos esperar, você vê muitas oportunidades aparecer e vai pegá-las; faça o seu melhor, seja corajoso. Você nunca saberá o que pode fazer se não tentar. Quando Tiago (4: 2 - 8) disse: (2) "Você não tem, porque você não pede. (3) Você pede e não recebe, porque você pede erroneamente, para gastá-lo em suas paixões". Se você quer fazer parte da equipe vencedora, lembre-se que é uma equipe, você não consegue ser a estrela nela. Você perguntará a Jesus (o líder da equipe) quais são suas habilidades e o que você pode fazer por ele, mas quem recebe toda a glória é o Líder. Nós recebemos toda a recompensa, mas a glória vai para Jesus. Então pergunte a Ele sabendo que você não será uma estrela. "Mas ele dá mais graça" (v.6a) Mais do que você pediu e merece se apenas o seu coração está no lugar certo. "Portanto, diz:" Deus se opõe aos soberbos, mas dá graça aos humildes. "7 Submeta-se a Deus. Resista ao diabo (você pode ler como orgulho, baixa autoestima, etc.) e ele fugirá de você. 8 Achegue-se a Deus e ele se aproximará de você (6b - 8a), e para terminar: “Mas buscai primeiro o reino de Deus e sua justiça, e todas estas coisas vos serão acrescentadas” Mateus 6:33.
