Please, meditate in this Psalm today. Make a little prayer before reading it. Then, read it slowly, thinking about every word and its meaning. Then, think about your life, what you have endured, how many victories and how many defeats, or even how many nights you have spent crying to the Lord and very soon your prayer was answered. Thank him for everything.
Psalm 30[a]
A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple.[b] Of David.
1 I will exalt you, LORD,
for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
2 LORD my God, I called to you for help,
and you healed me.
3 You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead;
you spared me from going down to the pit.
4 Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people;
praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
6 When I felt secure, I said,
“I will never be shaken.”
7 LORD, when you favored me,
you made my royal mountain[c] stand firm;
but when you hid your face,
I was dismayed.
8 To you, LORD, I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy:
9 “What is gained if I am silenced,
if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
10 Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me;
LORD, be my help.”
11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent.
LORD my God, I will praise you forever.

Salmo 30
Salmo. Cântico para a dedicação do templo[a]. Davídico.
1 Eu te exaltarei, SENHOR,
pois tu me reergueste
e não deixaste que os meus inimigos
se divertissem à minha custa.
2 SENHOR meu Deus, a ti clamei por socorro,
e tu me curaste.
3 SENHOR, tiraste-me da sepultura[b];
prestes a descer à cova, devolveste-me à vida.
4 Cantem louvores ao SENHOR,
vocês, os seus fiéis;
louvem o seu santo nome.
5 Pois a sua ira só dura um instante,
mas o seu favor dura a vida toda;
o choro pode persistir uma noite,
mas de manhã irrompe a alegria.
6 Quando me senti seguro, disse:
Jamais serei abalado!
7 SENHOR, com o teu favor,
deste-me firmeza e estabilidade;[c]
mas, quando escondeste a tua face,
fiquei aterrorizado.
8 A ti, SENHOR, clamei,
ao Senhor pedi misericórdia:
9 Se eu morrer[d], se eu descer à cova,
que vantagem haverá?
Acaso o pó te louvará?
Proclamará a tua fidelidade?
10 Ouve, SENHOR, e tem misericórdia de mim;
SENHOR, sê tu o meu auxílio.
11 Mudaste o meu pranto em dança,
a minha veste de lamento em veste de alegria,
12 para que o meu coração
cante louvores a ti e não se cale.
SENHOR, meu Deus,
eu te darei graças para sempre.

In moments of peace and tranquility, it is useful to remember times of stress and struggle by Thomas à Kempis Whenever you are enjoying some time of peace and rest, it is useful to call to mind those times when you have been busy, overworked, or stressed. Whenever you are enjoying the calmness of solitude and silence, it is useful to reflect on those occasions when you have been assaulted with noise and activity. Indeed, calling such things to mind is a sure and effective way of learning to love and value the peaceful tranquility of your times of solitude! If you reflect upon how easily you can become anxious or worried, or how little it takes to perturb your soul, you will also realize that the achievement of true inner peace is not something which human efforts can ever achieve on their own. Left to yourself, how often you have fallen prey to anxiety, even when there is little or no real need to worry! How often, even when you are surro...
