Look inside // Olhe para dentro

What do you think people think of you? Do they recognize you as a Christian? Why is that? Do you even know why you are a Christian? Or why not? Let’s suppose that you have answered yes, you are a Christian. Why? Have you decided for yourself or you say that you are a Christian because your parents have you baptized when you were little? Or your parents took you to church since you were little then you learn that you were a Christian because you go to church? Neither of that makes you a Christian only if you chose for yourself. Now, let’s suppose you are convicted that you are a Christian. Do people around you are also convicted that you really are a Christian? What do you do to make people know that you are a Christian? Did you tell them? Or they did notice your actions and compassion towards others. Let’s suppose you didn’t tell anyone that you are a Christian because your line of work is not well seen, or you were ashamed. How to make people know that you are a Christian without saying a word? Jesus said:  “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another” (John 13:35 -35). Ok. People will know that you are a Christian if you love one another. What kind of love is that? It is the kind of love that doesn’t discriminate, they type of love that looks into the soul, not to the exterior of the body. When you look into the soul you will see the need of the person. If the Holy Spirit inhabits within you, He will tell you, you will feel the need to love that person. Who were around Jesus? Every kind of people: rich, poor, wise, dumb, fool, all kinds of sinners, sick, hard-hearted, unlovable person, betrayers. Sinners all kinds. So, we are one of those sinners who walk with Jesus. And He said to love one another. “Love one another” is a command, is an action, a way of living. When you look at the other person you must put aside all your judgment, feelings, concepts and pre-concepts you might have toward the person. You must look inside with compassion for their souls. He loved Judas Iscariots to the end, even knowing he was going to betray him. Everybody has a past, with traumas and problems and these things make what we are now. You can put your own traumas and problems aside for a moment to love the other. Let Jesus heal you, so you can help to heal others with your experience. People are put in our life for a reason, or to help us with something or to be helped by us. For that to happen you must have your heart open without any hindrance. With Jesus our ego does not have a place, we are supposed to help others first, this way we turn away the focus from ourselves and be free to love the other. In this process, Jesus is healing us through love. Our duty is to love indiscriminately, just like Jesus did. He had compassion for the souls. Do not look at them, look inside them and see their needs. If you can do something, if you feel like doing something, do it. Because it is the Holy Spirit showing you how to love, how to care for others. Lord, I want to love one another as you taught. I admit that I am not trying hard enough. I have ignored your voice, I am busy worrying about my own affairs and not spending much time loving one another. Forgive me, Father. Teach me to be more like you. In your name Jesus, Amen.

O que você acha que as pessoas pensam de você? Eles reconhecem você como cristão? Por que? Você sabe por que você é cristão? Ou porque não? Vamos supor que você respondeu sim, você é um cristão. Por quê? Você já decidiu por si mesmo ou diz que é cristão porque seus pais batizaram quando era pequeno? Ou seus pais o levaram para a igreja desde que você era pequeno, então você aprendeu que era cristão porque ia à igreja? Nenhum dos dois faz de você um cristão apenas se você escolher por si mesmo. Agora, suponhamos que você esteja convencido de que você é um cristão. As pessoas ao seu redor também estão convencidas de que você é realmente um cristão? O que você faz para que as pessoas saibam que você é um cristão? Você contou a eles? Ou eles notaram suas ações e compaixão para com os outros. Vamos supor que você não tenha contado a ninguém que é cristão porque sua linha de trabalho não é bem vista, ou você estava envergonhado. Como fazer as pessoas saberem que você é um cristão sem dizer uma palavra? Jesus disse: “Um novo mandamento eu dou a você, que você ama um ao outro: assim como eu amei você, você também deve amar um ao outro. Com isso, todas as pessoas saberão que vocês são meus discípulos, se tiverem amor uns pelos outros ”(João 13:35 -35). Está bem. As pessoas saberão que você é cristão se você se ama. Que tipo de amor é esse? É o tipo de amor que não discrimina, tipo de amor que olha para a alma, não para o exterior do corpo. Quando você olha para a alma, você verá a necessidade da pessoa. Se o Espírito Santo habita em você, Ele lhe dirá, você sentirá a necessidade de amar essa pessoa. Quem estava ao redor de Jesus? Todo tipo de gente: rico, pobre, sábio, burro, tolo, todo tipo de pecador, doente, de coração duro, de pessoa indigna de amor, de traidores. Pecadores de todos os tipos. Então, somos um daqueles pecadores que andam com Jesus. E Ele disse para amar um ao outro. "Amar uns aos outros" é um comando, é uma ação, um modo de viver. Quando você olha para a outra pessoa, você deve deixar de lado todo o seu julgamento, sentimentos, conceitos e pré-conceitos que você possa ter em relação à pessoa. Você deve olhar para dentro com compaixão por suas almas. Ele amou Judas Iscariotes até o fim, mesmo sabendo que ele iria traí-lo. Todo mundo tem um passado, com traumas e problemas e essas coisas fazem o que somos agora. Você pode colocar seus próprios traumas e problemas de lado por um momento para amar ao outro. Deixe que Jesus te cure, para que você possa ajudar a curar os outros com sua experiência. As pessoas são colocadas em nossas vidas por uma razão, ou para nos ajudar com algo ou para serem ajudadas por nós. Para que isso aconteça, você deve ter seu coração aberto sem qualquer obstáculo. Com Jesus nosso ego não tem um lugar, devemos ajudar os outros primeiro, assim tiramos o foco de nós mesmos e ficamos livres para amar o outro. Neste processo, Jesus está nos curando através do amor. Nosso dever é amar indiscriminadamente, assim como Jesus fez. Ele tinha compaixão pelas almas. Não olhe para eles, olhe para dentro deles e veja suas necessidades. Se você puder fazer alguma coisa, se quiser fazer alguma coisa, faça. Porque é o Espírito Santo mostrando-lhe como amar, como cuidar dos outros. Senhor, eu quero amar um ao outro como você ensinou. Eu admito que não estou me esforçando o suficiente. Eu ignorei sua voz, estou ocupado me preocupando com meus próprios assuntos e não gastando muito tempo amando um ao outro. Perdoe me pai. Me ensine a ser mais parecido com você. Em seu nome Jesus, amém.
