“...remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, (…)
strangers to the covenants of promises, having no hope and without God in the world. (Ephesians 2:12 ESV)”.
There was a time when you and I, for some reason doubted God. For
some reason you might have believed that you, by yourself can do it all; you
believed that no one needs God, He might not even exist.
But there was a time when life got hard, and harder; you had no
strength to fight back; you had no one to hang on; you were ashamed of your sufferings. You thought all those things were in your head, but you could not get rid of it. You felt hopeless. It didn’t matter how many people you were by your side, you were still feeling alone. Lonely. Loneliness. Terrible
feeling.
If you are feeling this way right now, I have something to tell you.
Jesus loves you no matter how you are currently living your life. He is still with open arms to receive you; to take away all your guilt, and mistakes and bad choices to help you make it right; to make you new; a new person, with a
new heart. He is the hope you are longing for. He is the companion that never going to make you feel alone ever again. He is the only one who was able to die for you even when you didn’t know him. And He is waiting for you, to make your life more bearable. Deep in your heart, you know that you need His love, His compassion, His understandings because no one else can.
Ephesians 2: 1-6 It wasn’t so long ago that you were mired in that
old stagnant life of sin. You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what
we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat.
It’s a wonder God didn’t lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.
7-10 Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this
world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus.
Saving is all his idea and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major
role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.

My brothers and sisters, my friends who resist the love of God,
surrender your heart, your mind to Him. Let Him work in you. Let Him give you what you really want. Peace, Joy, Hope, Love, Compassion. You know that no
fame, no money, no lust is ever going to make you feel whole;
You are only digging a hole deeper and deeper inside you. Whatever
you believe if it is not in Jesus, there is no fullness of life in it. Try it. Give it a chance. Don’t be ashamed of who has died for you, so you could have life, life in full not this life of misery and seek. Your endless search for peace, joy and, strength. Don’t you see it never ends? He is the only
way; He is the only truth; in He, you’ll have life.

"... lembre-se daquela época vocês
estavam sem Cristo, (..), sendo estrangeiros quanto às alianças da promessa,
sem esperança e sem Deus no mundo. (Efésios 2:12 NIV).
Houve um tempo em
que você e eu, por algum motivo, duvidamos de Deus. Por alguma razão, você
pode ter acreditado que, sozinho, pode fazer tudo; você acreditou que ninguém
precisa de Deus, que ele talvez nem exista.
Mas houve um tempo
em que a vida ficava cada vez mais difícil; você não tinha forças para
revidar; você não tinha ninguém para se segurar; você tinha vergonha de seus
sofrimentos. Você pensou que todas essas coisas estavam na sua cabeça, mas
não conseguiu se livrar delas. Você se sentiu sem esperança. Não importava
quantas pessoas você estivessem ao seu lado, você ainda estava se sentindo
sozinho. Solitário. Solidão. Terrível sentimento.
Se você está se
sentindo assim agora, tenho algo a lhe dizer. Jesus ama você, não importa
como você está vivendo sua vida atualmente. Ele ainda está de braços abertos
para recebê-lo; tirar toda a sua culpa, erros e más escolhas para ajudá-lo a
fazer a coisa certa; fazer você novo; uma nova pessoa, com um novo coração.
Ele é a esperança que você deseja. Ele é o companheiro que nunca fará você se
sentir sozinho novamente. Ele é o único que foi capaz de morrer por você,
mesmo quando você não o conhecia. E Ele está esperando por você, para tornar
sua vida mais suportável. No fundo do seu coração, você sabe que precisa do
Seu amor, Sua compaixão, Seu entendimento, porque ninguém mais pode.
Efésios 2: 1-6
Não faz muito tempo que você estava envolvido nessa velha e estagnada vida de
pecado. Você deixa o mundo, que não sabe a primeira coisa sobre a vida, lhe
dizer como viver. Você encheu seus pulmões de incredulidade poluída e depois
exalou desobediência. Todos nós fizemos isso, todos nós fizemos o que
tínhamos vontade de fazer, quando sentimos vontade de fazê-lo, todos nós no
mesmo barco. É uma maravilha que Deus não tenha perdido a paciência e acabado
com todos nós. Em vez disso, imenso em misericórdia e com um amor incrível,
ele nos abraçou. Ele tirou nossas vidas mortas pelo pecado e nos fez vivos em
Cristo. Ele fez tudo isso por conta própria, sem a nossa ajuda! Então ele nos
pegou e nos colocou no mais alto céu em companhia de Jesus, nosso Messias.
7-10 Agora, Deus
nos coloca onde Ele nos quer, com todo o tempo neste mundo e o próximo a
derramar graça e bondade sobre nós em Cristo Jesus. Poupar é toda a sua ideia
e todo o seu trabalho. Tudo o que fazemos é confiar nele o suficiente para
deixá-lo fazer isso. É um presente de Deus do começo ao fim! Nós não desempenhamos
o papel principal. Se o fizéssemos, provavelmente nos gabaríamos de ter feito
a coisa toda! Não, nós não fazemos nem nos salvamos. Deus faz a criação e a
salvação. Ele cria cada um de nós por Cristo Jesus para se juntar a ele no
trabalho que realiza, o bom trabalho que ele se preparou para fazer, trabalho
que é melhor fazermos. (tradução da versão - A mensagem)
Meus irmãos e irmãs,
meus amigos que resistem ao amor de Deus, entreguem seu coração, sua mente a
Ele. Deixe que Ele trabalhe em você. Deixe que Ele lhe dê o que você
realmente deseja. Paz, Alegria, Esperança, Amor, Compaixão. Você sabe que
nenhuma fama, dinheiro ou luxúria vai fazer você se sentir inteiro; você está
cavando apenas um buraco cada vez mais fundo dentro de você. O que quer que
você acredite, se não estiver em Jesus, não há plenitude de vida nele. Tente.
Dê uma chance. Não tenha vergonha de quem morreu por você, para que você
possa ter vida, vida plena, não esta vida de miséria e busca. Sua busca
interminável por paz, alegria e força. Você não vê que isso nunca acaba? Ele
é o único caminho; Ele é a única verdade; nEle, você terá vida.
